According to reports, Chelsea have enquired about Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak’s availability ahead of the start of the upcoming 2024-25 season.



Chelsea are already weighing a move for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran and Lille’s Jonathan David, but sources have told Footyvaild that Chelsea appear to be close to pulling the plug on a significant transfer involving Aston Villa.


Jhon Duran’s proposed move from Aston Villa to Chelsea is in serious doubt despite the two clubs reaching an agreement nearly two weeks ago.


Then concerning David Jonathan’s prospect move, Chelsea will have to face Alot of competitions with some notable premier League opposition in pursuit for the Canada Striker’s service.


As a result, Chelsea have now identified Isak as a possible alternative signing for the striking position.


The 24-year-old striker found the back of the opposition net 25 times in 40 games across all competitions last campaign, providing two assists as well.


According to the Daily Mail, conversations have taken place between Chelsea and Newcastle after the West Londoners indicated they wanted to bring the 24-year-old to Stamford Bridge.


Meanwhile, Chelsea recently reached an agreement to sign Barcelona academy striker after agreeing terms to active his £6M release clause from the Catalan giants.


The 18-year-old is set to be a signing for the future leaving Maresca still craving a proven goalscorer for next season.
