Surprise: Alexander Issak to Chelsea transfer confirmation emerges amid a £200–220k wage issue.

Chelsea have indicated interest in signing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak this summer, and Enzo Maresca, along with sporting directors Lawrence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, have been spotted in conversation with Newcastle.

Initially, Newcastle valued Isak for about £120 million, but it seems there’s going to be a reduction in the asking price if the Blues are strongly linked.

Alexander Isak would be a great boast for the Blues, but how could Chelsea end up if they succeed in the deal?

According to the report, Chelsea are almost breaching the FFP rule if they don’t make sales currently, and giving in to Issak’s deal would see them being relegated immediately if nothing is done to keep the profitability rule.

For the deal to come true, Chelsea are undoubtedly going to give in to Conor Gallagher’s move to Aston Villa, possibly opting out of more deals.

During the early summer, Arsenal and Chelsea were top contenders for the deal, but it seems the Blues are now the leaders, as Arsenal wouldn’t afford such a huge price unless they wisely tackled a swap deal.

Despite Chelsea spending over £1b last summer, they are still interested in signing more, probably starting afresh for the new manager’s regime next season.

However, Chelsea may end up well if they stick to the players they have at the moment, at least creating more time for improvement.

But if they make further plans without tackling their deal wisely, they may end up in relegation.

Finally, there’s just two options left for the blues. If they stick to the players they have at the moment, they may likely avoid the problem of being relegated, or if they still insist on signing more options, they may end up selling a high-profile player, with the most resounding name being Cobham graduate Conor Gallagher.
