Breaking News: Enzo Maresca names six players who will miss the game against Bournemouth due to injury...

Chelsea prepare for their fourth game of the
season with a trip to Bournemouth on Saturday evening as they return from the international break.

The blue will face a Bournemouth side who have impressed so far remaining unbeaten in their opening three games with two draws and a 3-2 win over Everton last time out.

Moreover, four Chelsea first team Stars have missed Chelsea training today due to injury while the other two are said to be resting due to travels.

Of course, Malo Gusto, Filip Jorgensen, Romeo Lavia and Recce James are all set to miss Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth at the weekend.

Malo Gusto who has started every league game thus far this term but is expected to be sidelined for the trip to the south coast with a thigh problem.

The French right back limped off in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace before the international break and thus withdrew from France’s Under-21 squad a few days later.

Moreover, Jorgensen was forced off in Denmark’s Under-21 win against the Czech Republic on Tuesday night, with the severity of his injury still unclear.

Recce James has not featured in a competitive game this season after hurting himself right at the end of preseason, and while he’s also apparently been “on the grass”, it will take a while for him to build up to full fitness.

The issue is more than his backup, Malo Gusto, is also injured. Sources told Footyvalid that he won’t be ready for Saturday, so an alternate option at right back, or a formation shift, is on the cards.

On Romeo Lavia, it’s said that the Belgian having had a “small problem with his hamstring” by Enzo Maresca ahead of the Wolves game is training too – but won’t be back for this game either apparently, disappointing news given it’s 3 weeks since the issue flared up.

If he is indeed back next week it will be almost a full month out, hardly ideal given he missed all of last season.

Finally, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo didn’t train with the squad today, the South American duo are expected to return to England today after representing their country during the break.
